JD grew up in Prince Albert, SK and moved to Vancouver, BC to pursue his dream of acting. JD attended Vancouver Film School's full time acting program and then studied under the best acting teachers in Vancouver before moving to Toronto, ON to continue his acting career.

 

JD grew up having many different unique jobs working in Law Firms, churches, and prisons and everything in between. This unique background gives him great experience on all sides of the law. He knows how to play criminals to high end lawyers and is comfortable with the jargon that goes with that.

When JD moved to Vancouver he originally studied at Vancouver Film School, however, since graduation he has studied with the likes of Andrew MacIlroy, Bart Anderson, and Patrick Currie, among other great teachers.
